The Meeting Place

The Clubhouse design was inspired by the works of famed architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. Wright believed in designing structures that were in harmony with humanity and its environment. The challenge was designing a building that supported the Owners vision while respecting the legacy of Strathmore and the surrounding neighborhoods. The Owners worked closely with the architectural firm, Fabiano Designs, to create a Clubhouse that supported Wright’s design philosophy and their vision for a year-round social club.

An interesting design feature of the Clubhouse is the Oculus, the circular roof opening that allows sun light to pass through and create beautiful shapes of light that slowly transforms throughout the day, just as the sun lights the earth. In the evening it’s a perfect portal to stare at the stars. Iconically, it’s a reminder you are about to enter into a special place.

Upon entering the Clubhouse you’ll be immediately impressed by the striking art work, a beautifully crafted reception desk, and a glass-walled conference room with a hand-crafted “school fish” abstract pendent light. The gallery corridor leads you to Stillwater… the fine-dining restaurant, and adjacent, the Stillwater Lounge… a more casual room ideal for cocktails and small plate sharing. Stillwater also includes two outdoor, seasonal dining options… Stillwater Grille and Stillwater Patio. The Grille sits on the pool deck and will be the place for casual summer dining, and for those looking for a little quieter place… there is the Patio. For more information on the dining areas, please go to the Dining page.

The lower level includes a senior gaming lounge, group activity room, fitness area, male and female locker rooms and Seasons Spa. The upper level is the party space, housing the Rainbow Room… the largest event space, and the seasonal Rooftop Deck…where you can relax, meet friends for a drink or shared plate and just enjoy the fresh air or warm breeze after a long day away.

The Clubhouse has an elevator and two glassed stairwells for easy access and egress to all three levels. Male and female restrooms are on each level and all areas in the Clubhouse are ADA accessible. Respecting health and environmental issues, all restrooms have hands-free soap and water dispensers and Dyson Airblade hand dryers. Cool background music will be playing throughout the Clubhouse! The Club also has over 60 cameras strategically placed in public areas to ensure the members safety, especially important to those with children.

The finishes in the Clubhouse are first class including tile from Italy, furniture from Spain and fine art works from around the country.
